The role of immunomodulators in the prevention of postoperative complications after gastrectomy for gastric cancer

The article is dedicated to improving the immediate results after surgical treatment of gastric cancer. The infec-tious complications after surgery are still unsolved problem of modern oncology, and timely prevention of such compli-cations is one of the most important and difficult challenges facing the doctor. In this article short-term treatment results of 120 stomach cancer patients who underwent gastrectomy were analyzed. The authors of a major operation to immun-ization infection drug azoksimera bromide. Also we are introduced a specific scheme for the prevention of immuno- modulator and showed changes in the basic parameters of the immune system after such treatment. Conclusions. Immune prophylactic of patients with stomach cancer before surgical treatment allows to achieve significant overall survival with minimal morbidity and no postoperative mortality.
