Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by the development of symmetrical arthritis of peripheral joints, leading to progressive destruction of articular structures, as well as systemic damage to internal organs. ICD-10: M05-06. Epidemiology. The prevalence of the disease is about 1%. Women get RA 3 times more often. Most often, people aged 35-45 get sick.
