M Khamdamova, A Khamdamov, M Kodirov
Among all the factors of the so-called physiological immunosuppression that contribute to the spread and reactivation of cytomegalovirus infection, the first place belongs to pregnancy. Cytomegalovirus infection (CMVI) - a disease caused by a DNA-containing virus from the herpesvirus family, refers to infections, the clinical manifestation of which becomes possible in conditions of primary or secondary immunodeficiency. At immunocompetent persons in most cases proceeds without clinical symptoms. It is this circumstance that determines the special interest in the problem of CMVI during pregnancy [1, 2, 3].
