The Russian language is one of the most important international languages in the world. It is
widely used not only in Russia as a national language, but also in the countries of the former Soviet
Union and many other regions. In today's era of globalization, the demand for learning Russian is
constantly growing. The necessity of applying modern methodological approaches in the process
of teaching this language contributes to making the educational process more effective.
Today, the field of education is enriched with digital technologies and innovative methods. In the
process of teaching Russian, relying only on traditional methods is not enough to meet the needs of
students. Therefore, the development of students' knowledge and skills through communicative
approaches, integrated learning, multiculturalism, and the use of ICT is of great importance. This
article is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the Russian language teaching process through
the application of modern technologies and methods.
In the modern world, the Russian language occupies an important place in international
communication, education, business, and culture. In Uzbekistan, Russian is studied as the second
most important language, which makes the improvement of its teaching methodology a pressing
issue. For effective teaching of the Russian language, it is very important to use modern
pedagogical approaches, innovative technologies, and international experience.
One of the most effective methods in teaching Russian is the communicative approach. In this
methodology, the main focus is not on memorizing grammatical rules, but on increasing students'
speech activity. Through such methods as discussions and debates, situational games, and projects,
students acquire communication skills in real-life situations. In addition, teaching the Russian
language in connection with other subjects also yields effective results. For example, studying
history, literature, or geography in Russian increases not only linguistic knowledge, but also the
level of general knowledge.
The use of information and communication technologies makes the process of teaching Russian
more interesting and effective. Online platforms (Duolingo, Busuu), mobile applications (Memrise,
Quizlet), and virtual reality technologies create new opportunities for students in language
acquisition. These methods not only make the learning process interesting, but also increase
students' ability to learn independently.

Among modern teaching methods, dialogic learning, gamification, and problem-based learning
occupy a special place. In dialogic education, students develop their speaking skills through
discussions and interviews. Gamification arouses students' interest through the introduction of
game elements. The problem-based learning method encourages students to think independently
and use language in real-life situations.
The communicative approach is aimed not only at teaching grammatical rules, but also at
developing the ability to speak in real-life situations. For the effective application of this
methodology, the following methods can be used:
Communication-based exercises: Conducting conversations, discussions, debates in pairs or small
groups.
Exercises based on communication play a very important role in teaching Russian. By conducting
conversations, discussions, and debates in pairs or small groups, students not only increase their
vocabulary but also develop their speaking skills. These methods help to develop language skills in
real-life situations. For example, conducting role-playing games on topics such as "Eating in a
restaurant," "Going to the doctor" allows students to use language in a natural environment.
When conducting discussions and debates, it is important to choose relevant topics. Topics such as
"How modern technologies affect our lives?," "Environmental problems and their solutions" teach
students to think, logically justify their opinions, and respect each other's views. Working on the
basis of projects is also one of the effective methods. Preparing presentations on topics such as
"Profession of My Dreams," "Ideal City," along with developing students' creative abilities,
strengthens their ability to think freely in Russian. In short, methods based on communication
make the language learning process interesting and effective. Students learn not only grammatical
rules, but also how to apply the language in practice. This will allow them to freely communicate
in Russian in the future.
Situational games: Play real-life scenarios, such as ordering at a restaurant, waiting in line at a
hospital, booking a hotel.
Situational games are one of the most effective methods of teaching Russian. In this method,
students learn to use language practically by playing real-life situations such as ordering at a
restaurant, queuing at a hospital, or booking a room at a hotel. When conducting such games, it is
necessary to consider several important aspects. Firstly, situations should be understandable to
students and situations they may encounter in life. For example, topics like shopping in a store,
asking for transportation, or opening a bank account can be selected.
Secondly, it is important to provide students with appropriate roles and replies during the game.
Each participant must understand and perform the role assigned to them. This allows them to
develop not only language skills, but also social communication skills.
Thirdly, after the game, it is necessary to conduct a general assessment and analysis of errors. The
teacher should point out the interesting and shortcomings of the participants' speech and explain
them to them.
Situational games not only make the lesson interesting, but also convince students to use the
Russian language in real life. With the help of this method, students not only learn new words and
phrases, but also master how to use them.
Projects: preparation of presentations on such topics as "I imagine an ideal city," "Environmental
problems and their solutions."

Working on projects is one of the effective methods of teaching Russian, which, along with the
development of students' creative abilities, strengthens their skills in applying the language in
practice. In the process of preparing presentations on topics such as "I imagine an ideal city" or
"Environmental problems and their solutions," students not only learn new vocabulary units, but
also develop logical thinking and the ability to explain their thoughts.
When implementing such projects, it is necessary to pay attention to several important aspects.
Firstly, the topics should correspond to the age and interests of the students. For example, if it is
possible to prepare a project for younger students on the topic "My Favorite Pet," then for older
students, more complex topics can be chosen, such as "Problems of the Modern City."
Secondly, it is advisable to use various methods when preparing projects. Various formats can be
used, such as PowerPoint presentations, posters, short films, or even interactive web pages. This
also contributes to the development of students' technological skills.
Thirdly, it is important to defend projects in front of classmates at the completion stage. This
process teaches students not only speech skills, but also the skills of logical justification of their
work and influencing the audience. The method of working on projects not only increases the
ability of students to work independently, but also gives them the opportunity to master teamwork
skills. Through group projects, students learn to cooperate with each other, exchange ideas, and
achieve a common result.
In short, the method of working on the basis of projects makes the process of teaching Russian
interesting and effective. With the help of this method, students not only strengthen their language
knowledge, but also acquire various life skills. Studies show that when using communicative
methods, the speech activity of students increases by 40-60%.
At the same time, there are a number of problems in teaching Russian. The low level of student
interest, stereotypes about the Russian language, and problems with motivation are widespread. In
addition, shortcomings in the training of teachers in modern methods also hinder the effective
teaching process.
To eliminate these problems, it is necessary to constantly update the methodology of teaching the
Russian language, organize advanced training courses for teachers, and use international
experience. In the future, the use of such technologies as artificial intelligence and virtual reality
can further increase the effectiveness of teaching the Russian language.
In conclusion, to make the process of teaching Russian more effective, it is necessary to use
modern methods, innovative approaches, and methods developed taking into account the individual
needs of students. This not only makes the language learning process interesting, but also
significantly increases the level of students' knowledge.
