Well-known eastern poetess Zebunnisobegim

Eastern poetess Zebunnisobegim, who lived and wrote in the second half of the 17th century, was Zakhiriddin Bobur’s granddaughter and the daughter of Indian king Avrangzeba Olamgir. She lived in India. According to that epoch’s traditions she wrote in Farsi-Tajik language. Besides lyric poems she devoted her books to people’s morality and upbringing. Zebunnisobegim argues with her society, cruel attitude and offences towards poor people, especially women, cause deep sorrow in her heart. Despite her being the daughter of Indian padishakh, Zebunnisobegim always defended poor and common, unhappy people and devoted her life to their lives
