Micro-narratives, fragmentation, and experimentation in philosophy, art, and literature are characteristics of postmodernism. The essay considers several important aspects of postmodernism, such as its emphasis on relativity in social, political, and cultural contexts, its rejection of absolute truths, and its use of intertextuality. It discusses how postmodernism has influenced critical ideas such as reader-response theory, deconstruction, and the fusion of high and low culture.
