Modern means for infusion therapy in clinical practice
Abstract
Purpose: to increase the knowledge of practitioners in the field of infusion therapy, classification and pharmaco-clinical features of various infusion media.
Tasks: 1. Explain the physiological basis of water and electrolyte metabolism, taking into account age-related characteristics.
2. Describe the pathology of water and electrolyte metabolism.
3. Give the concept of classification of infusion media.
4. Explain the pharmaco-clinical features of solutions for infusion therapy and parenteral nutrition with an emphasis on their composition, pharmacodynamics, indications and contraindications.
Expected results: This guide will help to understand the wide choice of infusion solutions, taking into account the pathology and age of patients, increase the knowledge of physicians and expand the possibilities of infusion therapy.
