This article discusses the role of new and modern methods -
innovative approaches in modern education. Traditional teaching methods are
not enough for modern requirements. Therefore, new methods such as digital
technologies, interactive methods, game-based teaching, group work are being
introduced into education. The article explains how these methods are
beneficial, how they increase students’ interest in learning and help prepare
them for life. Examples of how innovations are widely introduced in education in
Uzbekistan are also given.

Mazkur maqolada zamonaviy taʼlimda yangi va zamonaviy
usullar innovatsion yondashuvlarning o‘rni haqida so‘z yuritiladi. An’anaviy dars
usullari hozirgi zamon talablari uchun yetarli emas. Shu sababli, raqamli
texnologiyalar, interaktiv usullar, o‘yin shaklidagi o‘qitish, guruhli ishlar kabi
yangi metodlar taʼlimga kiritilmoqda. Maqolada bu usullar qanday foyda berishi,
o‘quvchilarning bilim olishga qiziqishini oshirishi va ularni hayotga
tayyorlashda qanday yordam berishi tushuntirilgan. O‘zbekistonda ham taʼlimda
innovatsiyalar keng joriy etilayotgani haqida misollar keltirilgan.
Kalit so‘zlar:

In the modern world, education is becoming not only a process of imparting
knowledge, but also a means of comprehensive development of a person,
forming his skills for independent thinking, solving life problems. While
information technologies are developing rapidly, traditional teaching methods
are losing their effectiveness. Therefore, innovative approaches are seen as an
important strategic tool in the education system. These approaches play an
important role in preparing students for the demands of the time, in developing
important skills such as creative thinking, responsibility, and teamwork.
The essence and necessity of an innovative approach. The word innovation
itself means novelty, change, and an advanced idea. An innovative approach in
education means the effective organization of the educational process through
new pedagogical technologies, modern methods, digital tools, and didactic
approaches.
While in traditional education the teacher is the main source of information,
in innovative education the student is made the center of the learning process.
Students acquire knowledge through independent thinking, research,
experimentation, and drawing conclusions. This increases their interest in the
lesson and improves the quality of education.[1]
One of the main tasks facing educational institutions today is to educate the
younger generation as independent thinkers, open to innovation, able to use
modern technologies, and competitive individuals. The role of innovative
approaches in achieving this goal is invaluable.
Innovative methods in modern education
Innovative approaches are being introduced into the education system
through various forms and methods. Below we will get acquainted with the most
widely used and proven methods among them:
1. Interactive methods - these methods ensure the active participation of
students in the lesson. Through methods such as “Brainstorming”, “Fish
Skeleton”, “Cluster”, “Discussion”, “Role Playing”, students exchange ideas and
learn to defend their point of view.
2. Project-Based Learning - through this method, students try to solve real-
life problems independently or in groups. This method serves as a practical
experience for them.
3. Digital technologies - in modern education, electronic platforms (Google
Classroom, Moodle, Zoom, Microsoft Teams), interactive whiteboards, video

lessons, applications based on artificial intelligence (ChatGPT, Khan Academy,
Duolingo) are actively used. These tools create new opportunities for both the
teacher and the student.
4. Gamification - serves to increase the interest of students by organizing
the learning process in the form of a game. This approach is especially effective
in elementary grades, language learning, and STEM subjects.
5. Flipped Classroom – In this approach, students independently study the
lesson topic in advance, and the lesson is conducted through questions and
answers, discussions, and practical assignments. This method increases student
responsibility.[2]
Advantages of innovative approaches. The role of innovative approaches in
the educational process is incomparable, and it has the following advantages:
• Provides personalized education: the individual characteristics, abilities,
and interests of each student are taken into account;
• Develops the creative potential of students: they put forward their ideas,
offer new approaches;
• Improves the quality of education: knowledge is more deeply mastered,
consolidated, and prepared for application in life;
• Forms an attitude towards technology: students learn to effectively use
modern tools;
• Develops teamwork skills: mutual respect, exchange of ideas, and
cooperation are formed through group work.[3]
Innovative approaches in the education system of Uzbekistan
In recent years, large-scale reforms have been implemented in the field of
education in Uzbekistan. In accordance with the presidential decrees and
resolutions, significant work is being done to develop a digital educational
environment, update pedagogical technologies, and introduce foreign
experience.
For example, the introduction of the national platform “Digital Education”,
the opening of “STEAM” laboratories in schools, and the teaching of innovative
methods in teacher training courses are vivid examples of practical work in this
regard.[4]
Currently, “smart classrooms” are being created in many educational
institutions, electronic diaries, online testing systems, and virtual laboratories
are being introduced into education. All this indicates the widespread
introduction of innovative approaches.

In conclusion, innovative approaches in modern education are not only
relevant, but also necessary. In today's changing, competitive world, it is
important to arm young people not only with knowledge, but also with modern
skills. Innovative approaches serve precisely this task. Student activity,
creativity, independent thinking, and the ability to use technologies - all this is
formed through modern methods.[5]
The role of teachers in this regard is very important: they need to work
tirelessly on themselves, master new methods and apply them in practice.
Because the future is built on innovation. Therefore, by widely introducing
innovative approaches, we will improve the quality of education, educate the
future generation as competitive and modern individuals.
