After morphological, cytogenetic and molecular-genetic analysis resembling species of An. artemievi of malaria mosquito group «maculipennis» was revealed in Fergana, Chirchik-Ahangaran, Mirzachul and Zarafshan geographical regions of Uzbekistan. 6 species of malaria mosquitoes larvae An.artemievi, An. superpiсtus, An. pulcherrimus, An. hyrcanus, An. martinius and An. claviger were revealed in 7 geographical regions, predominant species was An. superpiсtus. This species is widely spread in mountain and foothill regions of Uzbekistan. Maximal amount is registered in August and the beginning of September. In mountain and foothill regions An. superpiсtus is predominant, in the valleys of rivers and foothills subdominant species is An.artemievi, in the plains and valleys – An. pulcherrimus. The role of An.artemievi in malaria transmission is needed to be clarified
