Turaev Shavkat Shukhratovich. Vice-Rector of Tashkent University of Information Technologies after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor. In 2007 he defended his PhD thesis on "Issues of optimizing tax burden of business entities" at Academy of Banking and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on specialty 08.00.07 - "Finance, money circulation and credit". And in 2021 he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Directions for optimizing tax burden in the economy" on specialty 08.00.07 - "Finance, money circulation and credit" at Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2009 he received academic title of associate professor on specialty 08.00.07 - “Finance, money circulation and credit”, and in 2023 - academic title of professor.

Shavkat Turaev is also actively involved in certification process in the system of higher and postgraduate education. Including, he is also a member of Academic Council No. DSc.20/13.05.2020.1.23/01 at Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academic Council DSc.13/30.12.2019.T.07.02 awarding scientific degrees of technical sciences of Tashkent University of Information Technologies and Academic Council No.DSc.03/10.12.2019.1.16.01 at Tashkent State University of Economics.

Shavkat Turaev has been a member of Turan Academy of Sciences since 2021 and International Academy of Telecommunications since 2022.

Since 2022, he has contributed to the development of scientific research and innovation in our country as a member of Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in direction of "Economic Sciences". Shavkat Turaev is also a member of editorial board of Indian economic journal "Thematics Journal of Economics" and "Statistical Bulletin of Uzbekistan" electronic journal of Institute of Statistical Research for Advanced Training of Personnel under the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Shavkat Turaev prepared monographs, articles, manuals, guidelines and published several articles abroad, including more than 150 scientific papers, including 4 monographs, 10 teaching aids and more than 100 scientific articles and theses.

Shavkat Turaev completed advanced training at higher educational institutions in the Netherlands, Germany, Indonesia, USA, India, China and Russian Federation.
