THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN THE
MODERN WORLD.

The 21
st
century is the century of the globalization. Everywhere we can see construction
processes of multistory buildings, skyscrapers, the business centers. Many countries conclude
agreement with each other, start trading with each other. Roughly speaking, the world opens up for us
and for reciprocating, we need to communicate to the world. For this purpose, the language will help
us and the most important and influencing language in the world is English language.
Relevance.
English is the first language for the majority of people in several countries. There
are about 375million English as first language speakers and 750 million English as second language
speakers. English has an official or special status in 70 countries. Although according to the British
Council by 2020 about 2 billion people in the globe we will be studying English .As highlighted before
since English is spoken in 70 countries, it is easier to travel anywhere. Actually, airport
announcements, emergency information and street signs are often available in English, even in
countries where the native language uses different type of alphabet. While travelling to a country
where you do not know its language, you can easily find someone who understands English
The purposes
of learning English may be different between people. Someone for getting a good
job and best salaries. It is obvi that multinational business organizations and many international
corporations require people with knowledge of English. Alt hough, people who go abroad for work
also need to know English. English is significant language of diplomacy, international politic meetings
and conferences, where we use it for maintaining international relations and communications.
The methods and materials
of the research. We used an interview with the group of the
students, who were studying English. We put a question to each of them about their purpose from
learning English and why do they chose this language. After interviewing all students, their responses
were written and analyzed.
In conclusion, we can say that English is considerable language, because we use it to
communicate with other nations. Although it gives an opportunity to get a job in a high position in
national and international levels, which provides with the best salary. In addition, for our countries’
generation it is the best way to go global and achieve goals, which can make our country more famous
in the globe.
