Example: Nowadays, many people are struggling with this problem, because they think that they
might make mistakes while speaking in English. Solutions for aforementioned issues:
•
/θ/ (think) and /ð/ (this), for these sounds learners should practice placing the tongue
between the teeth and blowing air out for /θ/
/w/ (will) and /v/ (very) learn that /w/ is made by rounding the lips without touching the upper
teeth, while /v/ requires the upper teeth touching the lower lip
•
/ɜː/ (bird) and /æ/ (cat) — For this sounds, people should listen to native pronunciation
and mimic the tongue placement.
In addition to this, language learners could also learn it via phone apps like YouTube or Elsa
Speak ,which might increase their learning progress .
2) Ways for fixing word stress issues:
a) Use a dictionary, because utilizing online dictionary may provide for second language learners
correct pronunciation. For example: Cambridge Dictionary which is useful for learners.
b) Practice with stress patterns — to be more precise, learn common rules for two-syllable and
three-syllable words. So for fixing intonation issues, 1) people who are learning a target language
should listen to native speakers, because by watching English TV shows or YouTube videos, they
might acquire a considerable amount of knowledge about the language. In addition to the given above,
a subsequent technique to fix this problem is recording yourself that is much more effective way to
improve speaking skills.
3) For people who are confused between similar sounds, there are some possible solutions for this
matter. In the initial place, language learners must learn how to position their tongue, lips and vocal
cords to pronounce words correctly. For example, by using a mirror, learners can check their mouth
movements while pronouncing tricky sounds. Another way to combat this problem is comparing with
native speakers, to be more specific, people who are learning English may watch videos showing
correct pronunciation and repeat them.
4) There are also some possible ways for reducing hesitation, which is thought to be a common
problem for language learners. It may be caused by some factors such as lack of confidence, fear of
making mistakes or limited vocabulary. However, there are some possible techniques in order to
overcome this. Initially, language learners should increase their speaking confidence by accepting
mistakes as learning experience, because every mistake lead people to an improvement. As well as
this, a subsequent way to overcome hesitation is expanding vocabulary and sentence structures that is
vital for beginners in speaking.

Grammarly, and Duolingo, and how they help students and teachers alike. I will highlight the
opportunities they offer, as well as the challenges we face when integrating AI into language learning.
The main focus is on how combining traditional learning methods with AI technology can enhance
the learning experience.
Key words:
English language, artificial intelligence, ChatGPT, education, digital technologies
Introduction. It seems hard to believe that just a few years ago, AI in education felt like something
out of science fiction. Fast forward to today, and AI tools are everywhere—especially in language
learning. As a student myself, I’ve found tools like ChatGPT, Grammarly, and Duolingo to be
incredibly helpful in my daily studies. But I’m not alone: many students are using these tools, too, to
enhance their learning experience.
For example, I used ChatGPT to practice for a job interview. Instead of just reading textbooks or
listening to others, I could have real conversations with the AI, getting instant feedback on my
responses. This made a huge difference in my confidence. Similarly, Duolingo has become my go-to
app for quick daily practice, while Grammarly has saved me hours of correcting my essays. These
tools are transforming the way we learn and interact with language.
This article aims to explore how AI is shaping the way we learn English, what new possibilities
it opens, and what difficulties we still face. I’ll share examples from my own experience to make it
feel more real and relatable.
Literature Review and Methods. AI in education is not exactly new, but its impact is growing
exponentially. Recent studies show that AI is playing a huge role in personalizing education, making
learning more tailored to individual needs (Oxford, 2017; Kukulska-Hulme, 2020). From my own
experience, I’ve noticed that tools like ChatGPT and Duolingo don’t just teach vocabulary—they
make learning interactive and fun.
For instance, in a study by Pimenova (2021), it was found that voice assistants helped students
improve their pronunciation by 30% in just a few months. I can vouch for this because I used AI tools
like voice assistants to work on my speaking skills, and I noticed clear improvements in how I
pronounce difficult words.
This article uses my own learning experiences with AI tools to show how they work in practice.
I’ll also look at some studies to back up the points I’m making.
Discussion. Let’s take a closer look at the AI tools I use and how they’ve impacted my learning.
ChatGPT has been a game changer for me. It’s not just a chatbot; it’s like a personal tutor who’s
available 24/7. I’ve used it to practice everything from everyday conversations to more specific topics,
like preparing for job interviews. I remember practicing with ChatGPT before an interview. I could
type out my responses and get feedback on how to improve them, which gave me so much more
confidence. It’s amazing how much the AI can help you refine your speaking and writing skills—
almost like having a conversation with a real person.
Grammarly is another tool I use almost daily. It’s more than just a spelling checker; it actually
explains why certain things are wrong and how to fix them. One of my classmates told me how
Grammarly helped him write better essays for university, and I can relate. It’s not only about fixing
grammar mistakes but also about learning from them. When I was writing an essay about AI’s role in
education, Grammarly helped me improve my sentence structure and vocabulary, making my work
sound much more polished.
Duolingo is my favorite app for practicing vocabulary.
It’s kind of like a game, and I find that fun! Duolingo motivates me to complete daily lessons by
rewarding me with points and showing me my progress. I’m not the only one—it’s really popular
among students. A friend of mine, who was preparing for an English exam, told me that using
Duolingo every day kept him on track with his learning and helped him feel more prepared. The app’s
structure is simple yet effective, and the small tasks help you stay consistent with your learning.

Benefits of AI in English Language Learning:
• Personalized learning: These tools adapt to your level, needs, and preferences. This makes
learning much more efficient.
• Learning anytime, anywhere: You’re not restricted to a classroom. With AI, learning can
happen whenever and wherever you want.
• Motivation through gamification: Apps like Duolingo turn learning into a game, which keeps
you engaged.
• Instant feedback: Instead of waiting for a teacher’s correction, you get immediate feedback that
helps you improve right away.
• Increased engagement: AI makes learning more interactive, which keeps you interested and
motivated.
Challenges:
• No emotional connection: AI tools can’t replace the emotional support and human connection
a teacher provides.
• Occasional mistakes: AI sometimes gets things wrong, especially when it comes to context or
more complex sentences.
• Cultural nuances: AI tools might miss cultural context or specific teaching methods, which can
affect the learning experience.
Conclusion. AI is changing the way we learn English, and I’m excited to see where it takes us.
Tools like ChatGPT, Grammarly, and Duolingo have already helped me—and many others—improve
our language skills in ways that would have been impossible without these technologies. However,
it’s important to remember that AI isn’t a replacement for traditional teaching methods. Instead, it
should complement them.
By combining AI tools with the support of teachers and human interaction, we can create a
learning environment that truly benefits students. As someone who has experienced the power of AI
firsthand, I believe it’s the future of language learning, but it’s crucial to find the right balance between
technology and human involvement.
