PERIOD OF ISCHEMIC STROKE

Relevance of the topic:
Stroke is the second leading cause of death and disability
worldwide. In the last decade, much research has been conducted on physical rehabilitation
after ischemic stroke, but there are few scientific studies on psychorehabilitation after stroke.
However, depression after stroke is second only to depression resulting from Alzheimer's
disease in etiology. Psychoanalytic tests alone are not enough to detect psychoemotional
disorders after ischemic stroke. In the early detection and treatment of the disease, the use of
neurobiomarkers, genetic and biochemical testing methods are new and accurate diagnostic
methods that help to indicate the level of psychoemotional disorders.
Today, it is assumed that biomarkers such as Oxidative stress biomarkers, Neuropeptide
Y, PACAP are involved in the development of psychoemotional disorders after ischemic
stroke and require their in-depth study. Studying the role of these biomarkers in the
development of psychoemotional disorders after ischemic stroke will open new avenues in the
etiopathogenesis and treatment of the disease.
Purpose of the study
: Early detection of psychoemotional disorders in the acute period of
ischemic stroke based on biomarkers.
Object of the study
. 42 patients with acute ischemic stroke and psychoemotional disorders
were selected.
Methods of the study
. To achieve the goals and objectives of the study, risk factors for the
disease were identified (collection of anamnesis, neurostatus, detection of psychoemotional
disorders: MMSE scale, Sung scale).
Results of the study
: Patients of different ages and genders with acute ischemic stroke and
psychoemotional disorders were examined on the MMSE scale and the Sung scale, and the
following results were obtained. The average score of men on the MMSE scale was 13.4, and
on the Sung scale - 61.4 points, which corresponds to a moderate level of psychoemotional
disorders. In women, the average score on the MMSE scale was 11.8, and on the Sung scale -
71.7 points, with a gender difference of 2.6 and 8.3 on the scales. Conclusion: Based on the
results, it was concluded that depression and dementia after ischemic stroke in women are
more severe than in men. After the administration of amantadine sulfate, the patients' condition
improved dynamically on the scales.
