Introduction:

The love story of Zulfiya and Hamid

Olimjon is one of the most beautiful and sincere stories
in Uzbek literature. Their love was reflected not only in
their personal lives, but also in their works. These two
creative people were a source of inspiration for each
other on their life paths and dedicated great works to
literature.Hamid Olimjon and Zulfiya first met in a
literary environment. At that time, Hamid Olimjon was
already recognized as a famous poet and playwright,
and Zulfiya was just beginning to be recognized as a
young and talented poet. Over time, their friendship
grew into true love. Zulfiya later recalled with
excitement in her interviews the days when she met
Hamid Olimjon. She noted that Hamid Olimjon was not
only a talented poet, but also a person with high human
qualities. The warm relationship between them went
from friendship and creative cooperation to family
happiness. In 1935, Hamid Olimjon and Zulfiya got
married. This marriage was not only the union of two
souls, but also the beginning of a new era in the world
of literature.

They supported each other's creativity and worked
together to create new poems and works. Their family

life was full of love, respect and creative harmony.
Hamid Olimjon was always a source of inspiration for
Zulfiya and encouraged her creativity. Zulfiya felt every
poem and work of her life partner with her heart.
However, this happiness did not last long.In 1944,
during World War II, Hamid Olimjon died in a car
accident at the age of 35. This tragedy left a deep mark
on Zulfiya's life. She dedicated the rest of her life to
glorifying Hamid Olimjon's name and preserving and
promoting his creative heritage. After Hamid Olimjon's
death, Zulfiya did not remarry and remained faithful to
him until the end of her life. Many of her poems echo
this tragic loss. She tried to immortalize the memory of
her husband in her poetry and pass on his name and
works to future generations. Their love lives not only in
life, but also in literature.

The poetess' poems, which are included in the
collections "Hayot jilosi", "Arik gullaganda", "Hayollar",
"Sog'inish" and others, which she created in memory of
the poet Hamid Olimjon, belong to the category of
poems imbued with the spirit of love for life, feelings,
philosophical generalizations. Zulfia's poem "Bahor
keldi seni soroqlab", written in 1947, is an artistically

mature and extremely powerful poem that truthfully
describes human love, and is a cry of anguish that
torments the awake heart of the lyrical hero on spring
nights.

Have you seen the tears in my eyes,

When I longed for a sign,

I would take the road to your grave,

You used to bring me a time,

Now every time I bring a flower,

I came. I stayed far away,

Alone in your dear head,

The sky was clear and yet,

A piece of cloud arrived quickly.

Standing in the sky above my head,

As if it rose in my heart.

Seeing the tears in my eyes

It also shed its tears in torrents.

We cried on your forehead this day,

You did not raise your head to ask if you had come.

Tell me, are you happy with them

Have you seen the tears in my eyes?

Even today, the names of Zulfiya and Hamid Olimjon
are mentioned side by side, and their poems are valued
as a bright example of love, loyalty and creative
cooperation. In their honor, on November 3, 2017, at
the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in order to
perpetuate the memory of the outstanding and
talented poets Hamid Olimjon and Zulfiya, the "Khoja
Nuriddin" madrasah in the city of Jizzakh, built in 1902,
was reconstructed and the Hamid Olimjon and Zulfiya
Museum was established. Also, at the initiative of the
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat
Mirziyoyev, a creative school named after Hamid
Olimjon and Zulfiya was created in the region. In

addition, the feature film “Spring of Love” was shot in

2022, dedicated to the lives of Hamid Olimjon and
Zulfiya, by order of the Uzbekistan Cinematography
Agency. The image of the poetess was embodied in it
by actress Shahnoza Hojimurodova, and the image of
Hamid Olimjon was embodied by actor Hamza
Hasanov.

My belief is the truth, the truth,

I speak with my face to the Kaaba.

A fleeting fate cannot destroy,

My soul passes peacefully forever.

Thank you for the honors and tributes,

You are my sun, I am my light.

May your mornings smile, my dear, my dear,

This is my happiness - I am the Zulfiya of the Uzbeks.

CONCLUSION

The love of Zulfiya and Hamid Olimjon is not a simple
love story, but a story of hearts connected by loyalty in
literature and life. Their family is a symbol of the
harmony of love and creativity, and remains a source of
inspiration for today's young generation.
